So how long until its Cobalt SS/Sky Redline/Soltice GXP swapped for 260-290hp?
Because turbo.

Did it have to be so hideously ugly?!
And why $20k?! You'd think something like this could be done for far less...
Get rid of the stability control, waterproof media bullshit, use a smaller motor, and give it to me for $10k

20k for something that is useless and ugly.
You could have a kickass motorcycle and project car for less that 20k. Seriously, why would anyone spend that much on a toy?

people ought to look at the new crap soulless cars that sell for $20k before they rip on a very cool ride brought to the consumer for 1/2 of an atom or Morgan. Wtf. People are spoiled here in America. That's cheap fun!

my first thought exactly.

LMAO many of their 2 wheeled vehicles are more than 10k...
![]() 07/28/2014 at 00:36 |

WOW... a lot of polar opposite opinions here! I'm surprised that so many are upset about the price. Have you seriously price out an Atom recently? And that thing seems to be universally loved.
![]() 07/28/2014 at 07:12 |

Yeah, that's where it comes in. If you compare it to the logical competitors of the Spyder ($15k-30k) and the Atom ($55k) this thing seems reasonably priced. This is about what we'd figure you could realistically build a functional FSAE car for, so it makes sense.

that's not what the cost reports say....
![]() 07/28/2014 at 11:00 |

I mean, of course our car can be made for $8,900. It is clear there is nothing wrong with our cost report since we were only beat one other team....

Because it's a toy.Not some shell and pieces that you may never get around to or a bike that you may never ride. If you have this, you have another car. Again, it's a toy or weekend car not a DD
